Rapist Meir Dascalowitz Finally Remanded to a State Mental Facility Today June 16, 2011

Rapist Meir Dascalowitz appeared before Judge Mathew J. D’emic late this morning, June 16, 2011. Appearing with his usual Pupa Chasidim, his only supporters left, Dascalowitz’s case was called after many colorful cases this morning.

With his usual cocky demeanor, the defendant was declared unfit to proceed, and was immediately cuffed and removed from the courtroom. With a backward glance to his buddies, his face registering no remorse, he staunchly walked away from his life and his people, as he has always known it.

His lawyer pleaded with the judge for time until July 6 for his client to sort out his personal matter, but the judge denied the request. Claiming that The defendant’s wife just left him, and that his mother is having cancer surgery, the Judge ordered him remanded anyway.

During the last hearing, the Honorable Judge Miriam Cyrulnik transferred the case to the mental Health Part after the prosecutor informed the judge that two psychiatrists have evaluated the defendant, and declared him unfit to proceed, and the court received the report by May 27, 2011.

The defendant will immediately remanded into a state mental facility, pretty much like a jail. With bail no longer continued, Dascalowitz will remain in this mental facility until he is medicated and stabilized and declared fit to proceed in this case. Click here for technical explanation of how this works. The case will also go back to Judge Miriam Cyrulnik for control, on June 29, 2011.

I’m just wondering how medicating him will make him more fit.
